The National University of Catamarca (UNCA) is an institution with 50 years of experience. It has more than 50 undergraduate courses which include Associates, Bachelor, Engineering and Teaching Degrees. Its disciplinary field covers the Social, Human, Applied, Health, Agriculture, Law, Economy, Technology and Archaeology. In addition, more than 20 postgraduate courses are offered including Diploma, Master and PhD in all the areas above mentioned.

As an integral complement to academic activities, the UNCA offers its students accommodation, medical coverage and dining services. A wide variety of sports and artistic workshops can be done in our facilities.

In terms of the production of scientific knowledge, the University houses more than 558 research professors, with almost 200 research projects underway. In addition, the establishment of new researchers and the consolidation of policies for the training of PhDs at the highest level are promoted through an agreement with the main organization dedicated to the fostering of science and technology in Argentina, the National Council for Scientific Research and Techniques (CONICET).

Another top-priority aim of the UNCA is managing its relationship with institutions and organizations not only in Argentina but also abroad. This objective includes active policies development through cooperative programs.

In this sense, our students and teachers’ mobility to other countries as well as foreign students and teachers’ mobility towards the UNCA constitutes an outstanding feature setting mutually beneficial bonds with other countries. In this way, people may grow up not only academically but personally by researching and upgrading their knowledge at the UNCA and at Latin American, North American and European Universities.
